Every year, Apartments.com’s ThanksGifting program honors deserving charities that partner with the multifamily industry to build a brighter future. From fighting food insecurity to providing shelter for vulnerable individuals, these organizations are making an incredible impact across the U.S. and Canada.
2025 marks the sixth year of giving back, and to celebrate, we’re donating $60,000, bringing our total contributions since the launch of the program to $250,000.

The budget reconciliation bill passing is a call to action. The Greater Chicago Food Depository is deeply disappointed by the passing of the budget reconciliation bill in the U.S. House of Representatives and the anticipated signing by the president. The bill includes the most catastrophic cuts to the safety net in history, including to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
The budget reconciliation legislation before the House of Representatives for a vote as soon as this week would weaken SNAP and Medicaid at a time when the cost of food and health care is already out of reach for many.
Chicago – October 30, 2024 – CoreGiving, a nonprofit organization founded to fight childhood hunger across the U.S., hosted its fourth annual CoreGiving Day on October 10, 2024. Serving as the official kickoff to Blackstone’s 2024 Global Fight Hunger campaign, this year’s CoreGiving Day was the largest to date, and marked the first time that international volunteers participated in the initiative. “It’s been equally powerful and meaningful to witness how much CoreGiving Day has grown since its founding,” said Luke J. I’m equally moved by the overwhelming support from the members of our community who have not only donated their time but also made generous financial contributions to aid families impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton through CoreGiving.”
