Chicago – September 9, 2025 – CoreGiving, a nonprofit organization founded to fight childhood hunger, will host its fifth annual CoreGiving Day on Thursday, October 9, 2025. This year’s event is expected to bring together more than 3,500 volunteers from Blackstone and 26 of its portfolio companies to support hunger-relief organizations in more than 90 cities across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
For the second year, and in support of Blackstone’s 2025 Global Fight Hunger campaign, the Blackstone Charitable Foundation will grant $250,000 to CoreGiving to help feed children and families in need. This year also includes first-time sponsorships from key partners including CBRE Group Inc., Cushman & Wakefield, Eastdil Secured, JLL and Newmark Group, Inc., whose support will help fund 2.5 million meals.
“With nearly 20 percent of children in the U.S. facing food insecurity, the impact of CoreGiving Day is both meaningful and measurable,” said Luke J. Petherbridge, chairman and co-founder of CoreGiving and CEO of Link Logistics. “Thanks to the support of our volunteers, sponsors and partners, we are able to expand our reach and fund millions of meals, making a difference for children and families.”
Since its inception, CoreGiving has provided more than 77 million meals to children and families facing hunger.
“I’m excited that CoreGiving Day is now happening in 15 countries and empowering more people to take action in their local communities,” said Bridget O'Connell, executive director of CoreGiving. “With our growing network of partners and sponsors, we’re increasing access to healthy meals.”
